1. Hair left alone(without combed) for long periods of time will lock up. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. 2. Wash only when necessary. I use Dr. Bronner’s Organic Castile Soap. It’s great! 3. It’s not nasty, unless you don’t wash it when necessary. You Don’t Have To wash it, but I do out of personal preference. 4. Don’t give me that, “Oh your’e a white boy trying to be black.” That’s racist. Locked hair has been around since the dawn of time, and has been embraced in all cultures whether on purpose or not. So no particular ethnic group has a patent on it. Don’t believe that lie, and don’t let people feed you a bunch of garbage either. 5. Wax is bad, period. Why in the world would a person want to put gunk in their hair and leave it there in the first place? It doesn’t allow hair to properly knot up as it grows. It just doesn’t make sense to put anything between hairs when it needs to knot up. Wax only “glues” hair together, that’s not locking it up. Hair NEEDS to knot up with other hairs, so leave it alone. 6. You can, however, backcomb it or whatever if you’d like, just don’t put wax in it or mess with it. I Personally Chose neglect because I like how it reflects me as a person, not trying to look like anyone else, except myself. And that’s not an emphasis on trying to non-conform, just not letting anything in particular to influence what my hair does, and everything in general. 7. It’s easy to avoid your hair from forming into large clumps, just pull locks away …
