Its officially the “future”. A person has made what THEY call a “solar death ray” in their garage! 5800 mirrors, laid by hand on a concave surface like tile in a shower … and YES it works! This video clearly shows, this device will melt DIRT, ROCK, METAL, GLASS… basically it will burn through ANYTHING. I’m going to make one.. .no doubt about it. Hobby time! After selecting the solar panel modules, you need a charge controller which is an important system component that regulates the voltage generated by the solar panel. This will regulate your power and provide protection to the batteries from being over or under-charged. 3. Next, you need a solar inverter this will convert 12 volt DC (direct current) from solar panel to 125 volts AC (alternating current) which will feed your appliances. Some high end inverters combine an inverter, battery charger and dual transfer switch in one package. 4. Batteries are needed if there is no sun or there is a blackout in your area. The first video diary from Rebecca and Christopher who live in Sarsen’s new ‘eco-home’, with their young daughter Isla, in the village of Urchfont. The family won a bid to live the green lifestyle in a newly converted 1930’s home. Sarsen, a member of the Aster Group, was awarded over £100000 by the Government to convert the out-of-date home to one that’s now warmer, greener and cheaper to run. The househas been kitted out with the latest energy-saving features. We’ll be monitoring the home for two years to see if we can cut its carbon footprint and Rebecca and Christopher will also keep a diary of what it is like to live in the house.
