Plastic doesn’t really decompose anyway. It just ends up in micro particles in the rivers and ocean to be consumed by aqua life making even the smallest life a victim to pollution. Notable decreasing in sea bird population down to plankton is affecting ALL sea life and its mostly from plastic consumption.
Very nice, we actually did a blog on our site about these.
Anything that reduces plastic bag usage has my vote.
The bags are like bubbles you can make 6 of them from the average coke bottle. there is less than the average garbage bag or food bottle.
Garbage bags full of plastic wrappers go into landfill without complaint.
The phobia against shopping bags is akin to blaming the lowest common denominator.
A true farmer would welcome a water retaining layer under the crops.
Cotton bags are not eko friendly.
The only thing wrong with plastic bags is their habit of flinging themselves around the streets.
Please check out our blog on plastic bags at bagwithcare(DOT)blogspot(DOT)com
It shocking the space these bags can take up
yeah, thats what i heard
A thousand years to degrade is wrong its about a hundred to 150 years.
i just farted!
Our capitalist retailers praise plastic shopping bags for speed and ease of transactions, and as consumers we appreciate this timesavings. We need a standardized cleanable & reusable shopping bag format, which will fit on the existing bagging stands in order to maintain the speed of the sales transaction. Banning would only shift production to other “use-and-toss” bags and not solve the problem.
relates to some comments in this discussion! but maybe it doesn’t relate at all, you can then ignore this comment
yo..how does it relate to the topic here?
there’s so many things wrong with this world plastic bags, fake boobs(plastic bags), spray on tans, megamarts, (strip)malls, amazon, tv dinners, smoking bans, zero tolerance policies, american teens/twens, vynil villas, bad public transport, overregulated countries, food engineering, lobbyists sons of bitches, myspace, self promotion, overstatement and the list goes on…but isn’t it the highest of feelings to experience all those things that are real, with substance and sustainability?
Your a pack of wankers! who gives a fuck about the Earth? Waste of time!
I didn’t realize humans are an endangered species. Thanks for the update!
hahaha
Yeah, I used to know someone who chucked batteries everywhere, instead of recycling them. I no longer know him. Fuck You Too ratrodjon56.
you know, every time i see some liberal tell me how i should be ‘green’ i go outside start up every fuel consuming device i have, and dump my used oil on a seagul. Keep thinking you are more powerful than the earth. 99 percent of the animals that have ever existed are extinct. What do you think our chances are?
Its about the goverment running your life.
Are they stoping GMO foods, no.
Actually, the reusable bags I use are shaped exactly like plastic bags, but they hold so much weight! That is pretty remarkable. Plastic ones tear so easily. Blah. How many eggs and jars did I break with them? AND the reusables paid for themselves when the grocery story gave me 5 and 10 cent credits for each bag.
You mean like HUMANS, good idea, will you be the first to volunteer?
It’s about doing what each of us can do and no matter how little.
Using reusable bags is an easy life style choice that only benefits yourself and the planet you live on.
Personally, I think all grocery bags should be made out of the skins of all endangered species.
my friend has this bag made of kool-aid packets, its pretty aweomse
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista. I downloaded a MS word file which was attached to an email (no viruses, as far as I know). I then right clicked on the icon and renamed the file. A new icon with the new name appeared, and works fine to open the file. The old icon remained on the desktop and will neither open nor delete. When I try to open it it asks what program to use (even though it’s a .doc), I pick Word, then nothing happens. When I try to drag it to the recycle bin it says it’s no longer located on the desktop and I need to verify its location. It says its size is 0 bytes. Tried restarting, shutting down and booting back up, still there. What should I do? santoramaa
