i bought this for an exam with restrictions about what kind of calculator I could have … in my prep work I noticed a few times that button presses weren’t registering on the screen (might also have explained some of my answers ;-() … but as luck would have it in the exam it was happening OFTEN … I was on the alert for it though so it might have always been the case. My fingers were feeling the “click” though ;-( Anyway … a calculator that can’t be relied upon to register button presses is USELESS!

  • This calculator is cheap, sturdy, and no batteries to replace. Every ESL or basic literacy student who’s learning basic numeracy, whether or not they are planning to take the GED, needs one. Being able to operate a handheld calculator is a basic survival skill.

It’s fine. However it’s a little small. Also, it’s not functioning when light is not that much bright. It’s not that much user friendly. For example, if you want to calculate log(x+y), you need to first calculate x+y and the apply log function. This reduces the capability of easy to uses. However it works fine for causal applications and exams. Comparing to price, it’s worth it.

bought to go in the pocket of a northwest padfolio. fits great and has all the functions necessary for quick numbers and field calcs. they go well as a set and the FX-260 is approved for use with most college and professional testing.
